Haven't really given DCS much thought since I graduated in '83. First, I was busy with college, then raising our family. Been married to the same great lady for 20 years now. We raised a son and a daughter here in Rochester. Saw a few of you at my son's football games. Anyway they are both grown and out. Woohoo - I'm free. Just thought I'd say hi, hope everyone's well. Just thought I would stop in and say hi to everyone. I sure do miss Dundee and think often of all the good times there. I remember the pep rallies, going through the streets of Dundee, playing basketball at the mill, diving off the bridge at Raps. My brother Bryan still lives in Dundee at Six Corners on my grandparents property.

I was surfing the website when I noticed a picture of my parents Miles and Lizzie with granddaughter Tammi Calarco taken at an alumni reunion some time ago. The picture was on the website 06/16/05. I graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 2001, not too long ago, but I had friends who graduated from Dundee in 1998 and 1999, so I was curious. I think the site is great. It is nice to see a school site that is updated and everything is there. Penn Yan Central School should take a look at this site.

I am a Dundee alumnus, Class of 1962, with the very fondest memories of our old school. I remember Dave Tetor very well. I went on to earn a Ph.D., J.D. and Ll.M. for a career as a law professor and practicing attorney. While in Dundee my family lived at 34 Seneca Street. I met my high school sweetie pie Pam Witter much later in life. She brought me up to date when her dad Ken Witter died. Steve Fuller

I graduated in 1949 and served in Korea during 1951-52. I went to work for Bell Telephone in Corning in 1955 and retired in 1987 in Ithaca. I have a woodworking shop building furniture on request. There were three people at Dundee Central School who helped me through many hard times in my life in school: Principal Gordon F. DePew, English teacher Mrs. Utter and industrial arts teacher Mr. Conners.

I left after my sophomore year in '66, but I have come back to visit a few times. I graduated from Arlington (Texas) High and got a BS in oceanographyfrom the University of Washington. I spent four years as a naval officer and then obtained an MS in civil engineering at Montana State University. Presently I work for a paper industry environmental research firm. I have five kids who are all grown up now.

I'm hoping that folks can help me. I'm trying to locate Dan Brennan, class of '77. I knew Dan when his family lived in central Massachusetts, prior to the Brennan family's moving to Dundee. Dan and I lost touch after he joined the service. I know he lived on Stone Jug Road. He had two sisters: Jayne, class of '76, and Maureen, class of '80. I attended DCS until my junior year, when I moved to Corning and graduated from East High in 1980. I was on the DCS football cheerleading squad in my freshman year (1976) and played saxophone in the band. I think the site is excellent and enjoy reading about many pleasant old memories. have moved. Not too many from the Class of '59. Don Backer
has been a friend for years and always remembers my birthday. I will
see many of my class in July 2004 at the 45th reunion. I never realized
what a unique place Dundee was until I left and visited other places.
If there were more choices for jobs, etc., I would liked to have come back
once I retired from the USMC, but then Charleston, SC isn't so bad.

Sorry everyone . . . I just learned that both Mr. & Mrs. Drehmer have passed away, Mr. Drehmer just recently on January 3, 2003. I can only say how sad I am that I was not able to tell him (or her) what a positive impact that both of these teachers had on my life - especially Mr. Drehmer. My one hope is that every student is able to have a few teachers such as the Drehmers and at least one teacher that has the impact on their lives that Mr. Drehmer had on mine. I hope that you all had similar experiences and, please, let the teacher know before it is too late. Edie Brooks

"Class of 1962" It is always interesting to go back to Dundee, though I don't get to do this very often. Doesn't matter though . . it always looks about the same as when I left in 1960 when my mother died. I live in Idaho with my husband Pat and our son Joe. Joe will graduate next month and will be off to the University of Southern California to study to become a doctor. My two older sons, Chris and James, live in Los Angeles. Chris works with Courtney Love and James is a lawyer. I have been on the Coeur d'Alene school board for seven years and on the Idaho state Professional Standards Commission.
