The theme of this year's reunion, the 50th annual  hosted by the DCS Alumni Association, was represented by this beautiful anniversary cake. Yes, even the picture of our venerable alma mater was edible!
This table adorned with a variety of delectable edibles awaited early arrivals to this year's event.
The spirit of revered supervising principal Gordon F. Depew, whose photo hangs in the south foyer of the school, hovered over a majority of this year's attendees, who attended DCS during Mr. Depew's  long tenure with the institution.

Guests of the DCS Alumni Association for this 50th annual reunion included retired district clerk Winifred Barkley Radka ('60), district superintendent Nancy Zimar and Ron Miller, founder and director of the DCS steel drum band.
DCSAA president Doris Tetor Allen ('59) presents a check in the amount of one hundred dollars to district superintendent Nancy Zimar for the benefit of the Dundee chapter of Dollars for Scholars.
Clarence Sebring ('39) presented a most engrossing summary of the many changes he has witnessed at DCS since graduating here in 1939 and throughout his own 33-year career with our alma mater from 1952 through 1985.

Founder, director and guiding light of Symphonic Steel, Ron Miller introduces members of the band to an eager audience.  Unfortunately, many regular members of the band were away and unavailable to perform during the afternoon.
Director Ron Miller took a position in the band during the afternoon in place of one of the band's missing members.
  Among the members of the band Ron Miller introduced to the audience was Becky Shoemaker (front), salutatorian for the DCS Class of 2007.

  One view of the afternoon audience enjoying the efforts of the talented members of Symphonic Steel, as they played a variety of musical styles from big band to calypso to contemporary.
Ron Miller regaled the attentive audience with a number of stories about the steel drum band experienced during his long association with the ensemble. He pointed out the many pictures lining the walls of the music room depicting highlights of the band's many tours.
